May
7 - “Preserve your story”.
Have fun writing bits, anecdotes or memories
of your life. This one hour session tells
and shows how. The real fun comes in knowing
you can do this after today, as well. Maybe
write a little series you can give to your
family, or simply share with your friends.
June 4 - Bring your small
antiques and collectibles for professional
appraisal. (no armoires or china
cabinets, please). Learn what it’s worth
to you. (And perhaps to your future heirs).
July - 2 - “Dancing With The
Stars”. (And you are the stars.)
Learn the latest dance steps from a certified
teacher. Really good students may get employed
at the Trianon Ballroom and earn ten cents
a dance.
Aug. 6, - “Card Tricks and Magic”.
With some great tricks you can learn
to do ... to dazzle your grandkids.
Sept 3, - “Meet The Chef”.
A surprise event. ( Which means that right
now we have no idea what will take place),
except that we will be in the good hands of
a very good chef from a local restaurant.
Oct. 1, - “How to Listen, Speak
and Write ... More Effectively”.
This is not a college credit course. It is
more an exchange of ideas and examples by
attendees. It could be a fun and novel experience.
Later we may start our own college.
Nov. 5- “ New Tips For old Drivers.”
How to keep your windows from fogging up in
Winter. Driving on icy roads. Which headlights
in snow storms? when to use (and not use)
turn signals.
Dec. 3 - “E-mail and Computer
Games”. Games already built
into most computers; checkers, chess, solitaire
and others. Also, fun games to get - or borrow
from your grandson; car racing, Mario Brothers,
Pac-Man ... E-mail... Just enough basics to
keep in touch with family and friends. |
